Rural America is in crisis—and not just economically. We’re losing our local newspapers, our local voices, and, with them, our ability to see ourselves clearly.

The truth is, when a community no longer has a local paper, it loses more than headlines. It loses connection. Accountability. A shared identity. And most of all, it loses its voice.

At The Orange County Voice, we are fiercely committed to being that voice for Orange County. We don’t answer to national chains or distant investors. We live here. We raise our families here. We tell your stories—stories about the schools, the farms, the families, the businesses, the moments, and the decisions that shape this place we call home.

But we can’t do it without your support.

Publishing a paper like this takes resources. It takes time, talent, printing, design, web hosting, distribution—and yes, money. Unlike big-city outlets with corporate backers, we rely almost entirely on our community—sponsors, subscribers, and local advertisers—to keep us going.

So today, I’m asking plainly:

If you believe Orange County deserves a strong local paper, now is the time to show it.
You can support us in one of two critical ways:

Become a Sponsor – Your business or organization can help fund real local journalism while gaining visibility and goodwill in the community.

Become a Subscriber – For just a few dollars a month, you can directly support the stories that matter most to your hometown.

We don’t need thousands of voices. We just need yours.

Let’s not become another town where the paper fades quietly and no one fills the silence. Let’s make sure Orange County stays connected, informed, and proud.
