In a heartwarming twist of fate, Witch’s Brew Café, once a beloved brick-and-mortar haven for locals, is back—this time on wheels. After closing its physical location, the café has reemerged as a mobile coffee trailer, carrying with it the same spirit of community and caffeine that made it a cornerstone of the neighborhood. You can usually find them at their location in front of Car Doctor + in Locust Grove.
When Witch’s Brew Café announced its closure, the reaction was swift and emotional. “It was almost like a part of the community was dying,” said Laura Honsinger, now sole owner of the café. “There were so many tears shed and stories shared. It was a safe space for everyone. I couldn’t let that go without a fight.” The café had become more than a place to grab a latte—it was a sanctuary where milestones were celebrated, friendships were forged, and everyone felt welcome.
Witch’s Brew has long been known for its commitment to community service. From distributing hats in the winter to offering free hot meals, the café’s mission has always been to uplift those in need. “Food insecurity and poverty are more prevalent than we see,” Honsinger explained. “We believe in caring for our fellow humans as we would want to be cared for if we were to stumble.”
One of the café’s most cherished initiatives is its “Pay It Forward” program. Guests can purchase meals or drinks in advance for someone who may be struggling financially.
The mobile trailer isn’t just a business revival—it’s a reunion. The entire team behind the trailer, affectionately known as the Brew Crew, were part of the original café. “Getting our little band back together and seeing the happiness return to their eyes is everything,” said Honsinger. “Witch’s Brew became our safe space and happy place.”
Though the café operates under a new roof, its heart remains the same. “I’m not scared of failure… I’m scared of complacency,” she said. “Every part of this process has fallen into place almost miraculously. The stars keep aligning and pushing me forward.”
With a renewed sense of purpose and a community rallying behind them, Witch’s Brew Café is once again brewing magic—one cup at a time.
